PLATO students at the Tennessee State Aquarium, Chattanooga, Tennessee

This spring our PLATO students have participated in some fun and innovative field trips.  PLATO is our gifted program for grades 3-5.

Third graders were the first to hit the road.  They took part in an overnight trip to Richmond to learn about the State Capitol, The Science Museum of Virginia, The Fine Museum of Fine Arts and the American Civil War.

Fourth and Fifth Grade headed further north to Annapolis, Maryland.  They learned about our country’s history, science as well as the Air and Space Program.  The trip included visits to the Smithsonian Environmental Center, historic Annapolis, the Naval Academy, and the Steven Udvar- Hazy Space Center- National Air and Space Museum.
